How it works
How does Notavello work?
You copy your AI conversation using Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C, paste it into Notavello, and it generates a clean color-coded PDF — your messages in blue, AI responses in plain text. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers.
Does it work on mobile?
The page is mobile-responsive, but copy-pasting a full conversation from a mobile browser is difficult. It works best on a desktop or laptop.
Which AI assistants are supported?
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Grok, Perplexity, and more are all supported. Each has its own dedicated exporter page.
Can I copy text from the exported PDF?
Yes — the PDF contains real searchable, selectable text. It is not a flat image.
Privacy & data
Is my conversation stored anywhere?
No. Your conversation text never leaves your browser. The PDF is generated entirely on your device using a JavaScript library. Notavello has no server that receives or stores your content.
What does auto-redaction do?
When the redaction checkbox is enabled, Notavello automatically detects and replaces API keys, email addresses, Social Security numbers, phone numbers, and credit card numbers with placeholders like [EMAIL] or [API_KEY] before the PDF is generated. This is optional and can be turned off.
Can I trust Notavello with confidential conversations?
Since nothing is sent to our servers, your conversations stay on your device. However, for highly sensitive legal or medical content, use your own judgment about any tool you use.
Output quality
What if my conversation has images in it?
Images cannot be transferred via copy-paste — only text survives. Where an image was attached, you will see an [Attachment: image] placeholder in the PDF. The actual image is not included. This is a limitation of how browser copy-paste works, not a bug. A future browser extension will solve this properly.
The preview looks different from the PDF. Which is right?
The PDF. The on-screen preview is a browser simulation and approximate by nature. The downloaded PDF is the real output and is formatted correctly.
What is the free tier message limit?
Free exports are limited to 30 messages. Longer conversations show a prompt to upgrade to Pro, which removes the limit entirely.

What does the watermark look like?
A diagonal NOTAVELLO.COM text stamp at 18% opacity on every page, plus a small rotating credit line in the page footer. Visible but not overwhelming. Download a sample PDF to see for yourself.
How do I remove the watermark?
Upgrade to Pro for $5/month. Once payment is confirmed, all future exports are watermark-free. See the pricing page for full details.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, anytime. No contracts, no questions. You keep Pro access until the end of your billing period, then automatically return to the free tier. We don't hide a cancel link or make it difficult.
